Family History

We have been Involved in the Canadian Maritime seafood Industry since the early 1970’s When Frank Sr. began purchasing and processing lobster and clam product for the Valle’s Steak House restaurant chain In the US. In the late 70’s Frank Sr. was a
marketing manager for United Maritime Fishermen’s Co-op, UM
few Independent lobster and seafood processors to sell their products, he took the chance and started his own business. Jim joined him first after graduating from Boston University. Frank Jr, University of Massachusetts, joined a year later. In the early 90’s, after graduating from New Hampshire College and working at the Bostonian Hotel in the foodservice department, younger sister Linda Joined.

Through the years we have become a fully intergraded company through our partnerships and agreements. Our Rockport brand is known as the super-premium pack and is what discriminating customers prefer. We pack lobster, snow crab, rock crab and clams in over 8 facilities insuring continuity of supply for our loyal long term customers. We still try to do it how we were taught, the old fashion way, superior customer service from the DePiano family.

Our success is simple, for over 50 years our business has remained the same, provide quality products, continuity of supply and personal service to all our customers.
